What a beautiful day it was. Saturday's 53rd Annual Lynchburg Art Festival at E.C. Glass brought out a wonderful crowd, and we couldn't be more grateful to everyone who made it such a success โ the exhibiting artists, our dedicated volunteers, and the generous sponsors whose support makes this festival possible year after year.
Congratulations to all of this year's award winners, selected by judge Alex Grabic of Longwood University:

Thank you again to everyone who participated and attended. We're already looking forward to next year's festival!
The Open Call for "In Conversation" Is Now Live
It's time to choose your inspiration.
We've opened the sign-up for "In Conversation," LAC's spring 2027 exhibition pairing new work by our members with pieces from our permanent collection. Browse a gallery of 73 works by 45 artists, hand-selected from our collection, and claim the one that speaks to you.
Narrowing the collection down wasn't easy. We worked to include founding members and other artists who've shaped LAC's history, so whichever piece you choose, you'll be in good company.
How it works:
Browse the gallery and find a piece that moves you
Sign up to claim it โ once an artist is selected, all of their works come off the list, so act early if there's a name you have in mind
Create a new piece in response, due February 14, 2027
Your work and the original will hang side by side at the show, opening April 2027
A handout with response ideas and guidelines is available to download on the page โ a good next stop once you've found your piece.
